| Epox 4pca3+, P4 3.0C, no go? I just got Epox 4pca3+ (rev 2.x, what is this?) and a p4 3.0C from newegg.com. I put it together, and unlike all the previous systems I have built based on AMD chips, this one booted up from the first try. I'm using 4 sticks of pc4200 cas3 DDR and I also have: 2 ide hdds, 2 cdrw/dvd, and Radeon 9700 pro. Using onboard sound and lan, everything else disabled (com, lpt, highpoint, sata). Cooling the cpu is a lapped SLK 900U with Arctic Silver 5. Northbridge unmodded. Mobo, audio and USB drivers from the Epox site.
The problem is that I can't go higher than 210 FSB. It won't even post at higher FSB. I am thinking that it's my 300W generic power supply. Could some please confirm that it's the problem. Also, what bios settings on this mobo does one use in order to achieve the best overclock (I was hoping for 3.7 GHz)?
