Make sure you set your memory timings to the same manually as they would be for SPD at a max memory clock of 200MHz and FSB of 200MHz - that way they will run stably when you drop mem and increase bus.

I have uber-stability!

Performance is great since memory is still running a direct interface to CPU at 227Mhz and HTT is increased. It's not like doing such with an Athlon XP processor where you are pushing the bus's out of synch - it actually imporves performance on A64 provided you take the HT far enough to take the memory to it's top speed.

In the interests of science and your own personal testing I think you should donate its space cycles to F@H for us!
It would be interesting to see how fast it folds. Go on ET, you know it makes sense!

I'll let you into a secret - something I'm doing to try to destabilise things and prove to you that you can easily go one step further :-

I'm using 1 crucial PC3200 based on Micron at 256MB and 1 Sammy TCCC 256MB. At 2.72v they are doing 228Mhz 8,3,3,3,1T with my HT at 274MHz.

One thing that you are seeing differently to me is system temperature but that is possibly the fault of the sensor and Winbond and ME!!

To Bradmax - PCI difficulty - the 2 devices you are seeing only certain ports running well - Audigy and IEEE1394a - yeah I appreicate these current chipset / BIOS limitations - think that these will iron out soon - nothing that I've done or can do there.

It has to be said though that these boards do rock and roll guys! Think that in the morning I will try past 300 x 8 with memory at 133MHz (divide HT by 1.5 to get memory speed when using this setting or CPU Clk/12)

And the second one in the dark - I'm pretty proud of getting such stable overclocks given the neatness and compactness of the system. Bradmax - you have more to go now since I'm doing 23,647!!!

That's a new style Bluetooth headset for active people that actually fits into the ear like a hearing aid.

Give the memory divider game another try! Sure at 8x you will really put some through that memory with a 166max clock.

weird, set fbs 260, multi to 8x = 2080mhz (no problem) set ram to 166 = 216ddr (no problem) and system just hung after windows xp logo, code was showing as FF so wasnt a problem there, although i managed to boot into windows in safe mode? Like i mentioned yesterday i found in the past i could overclock more stably with sp2 installed maybe do that again, oh well must get off to work
