Question 8RDA3+ temperature accuracy

recently bought new epox 8rda3+ and was wondering why since d last board i used(8K9a) my cpu temp increased dramatically like 7c centigrade... bios/mbm reports around 57c idle, previous board (8k9a) was around 48-49c.. i didnt changed the setup just changed boards...any help wud b greatly appreciated

my setup

athlon thoroughbred 1800+ o'clocked 2450mhz
1gig corsair
EPOX 8RDA3+ v3.1
FX5700 ultra card
SB audigy (kept crashing my tv card, so i took it out)
winfast tv2000XP card
promise TX133 card

Remove the CPU and check inside the socket for heatsink goblins. Sometimes they come infested with them from the factory. Clean the CPU and heatsink mounting surfaces, reapply thermal grease, reinstall the heatsink, and see what happens. Usually that makes the heatsink goblins go away.

Yep there is NO problem with the board! My temps jumped 10+ degrees after upgrading from my old gigabyte board to the 8rda3+, just the way they measure temps is different thats all. Everyone here comparing how low their temps are and half of them are false! So before you start worrying about someone with an abit or asus board with the same spec but lower temps, their actual cpu temp is probably the same as yours, even lower! Take case and cpu temps with sceptesism, if its not crashing all the time, your temps are fine.
