| Fun with a 8KDA3J and an A64 3200+ NewCastle... and an R507'd Mach1 with a touch Vmods on top of the 8KDA3J. ![]() Just put everything together about 30 minutes ago and I'm running my good ol' Corsair XMS 3500v1.1 with 3.2v and my CPU with 1.60v... http://www.adventurevision.com/somep...81-desktop.png Bumping up 1.65v to see what else this can do. I may have to re-seat the evaporator since I'm questioning the contact... but I'm going to finish playing first. For those who are curious as to whether or not this board has issues going above 2.5GHz... uh... no. ![]() This bench session is being done at 3x HTT(LDT), the "auto" 11x multiplier, using the BIOS to select the Vcore, and the May 5th, 2004 BIOS(since I was too lazy to flash to the newest one yet). ![]()

I'll be testing more tomorrow so maybe I'll do a quick "top htt run". Right now I'm still running my memory 1:1... http://www.adventurevision.com/somep...258MHz-FSB.png ![]() Did you do a clean install with your Epox board? I haven't had a single problem with ClockGen so I don't really know what to say. It's not like I did anything different. Are you sure you're using the correct nForce3 ClockGen? Here's a little improvement on PiFast btw... http://www.myfavoritehacker.com/some...Fast-44.72.png

I still question it because im one of the people stuck @ 2509mhz. I have a newcastle with the newest stepping and the CG revision with watercooling and even using voltages up to 3.7v for the memory and 1.85vcore i cant get paste 2509mhz, Funny thing is 2509mhz is stable with a meger 1.6v, I can boot @ 3130mhz. What are the setting all off them i nthe bios that u are using? Maybe thier is something im overlooking.

![]() Maybe your processor is topped out. Just because you can boot at something higher... doesn't mean that it's stable. I can hang out in Windows for a few seconds at close to 3GHz but it's completely unstable and almost as soon as I start doing something it crashes. I noticed that this combination will freeze Windows if Vdimm is too low(or you're pushing the memory too far) and it will blue screen if Vcore is too low(or you're pushing the processor too far or it's too warm). I've heard a few different people say that good air and basic water cooling are about equal with the A64s. It's not until you start getting the chips colder than ambient that you notice any real games. At any rate... don't really know what to tell ya...
