What order should i install things on windows ?

Ok, since i cant figure out my problem im wondering if it somehow has to do with the order im installing the drivers on the pc after i install windows.

I do it in this order

Nvidia drivers on the cd first, then the i download the latest nvidia drivers install them, then DX9, then ATI drivers, then Windows SP1, after that i install all the other drivers like audio ect.

Am i doing this wrong ?

Should i just install the ethernet drivers first, then download SP1, and then install the nvidia drivers and everything else in that order ?

I would try it this way and is usually the way i do it with no problems, except i have SP1 slipstreamed on the cd, but anyways try this order:

SP1, newest nvidia drivers from website, ATI, DX9, and everythign else

i wouldn't bother installing the nvidia drivers from cd no point if you get the ones from the website, in fact it could actualy cause a problem because if there is some files left over from the older drivers it could cause conflicts.

Yes. Typically, I manually install the ethernet drivers from the CD, then go download the new package.
