8rda3+ audio problem

Hi.
I've got the 8rda3+ rev2.1 (which has the c-media 9739a codec) and i've got crackling sounds when playing games.
i'm using the UDA044 driver from cmedia, with nforce 4.27.
when downgrading the audio hardware accelaration to basic, everything works fine, but i don't think that's a satisfying solution.
my cmedia works on irq20, together with the USB host controller, but i'm unable to change the irq settings in the driver.
any suggestions?
p.s. - tried using various versions of the cmedia driver (33, 39) & of the nforce driver (everything that nvidia has in it's archive).
thanks in advance

Can't you change the IRQ settings in the bios? Or can you "reserve" IRQ 20 and force the cmedia and USB to use their secondary channels? Windows manages IRQ's in XP and they don't do a good job of it. However, I haven't found a way to do these manually yet...

Powerstrip is what you need. Decrease the latency of your video card to 128, and assign the Cmedia controller to a lower (higher priority) IRQ.

OR, it could be something completely different, like you didn't push the plug all the way in

You will need Powerstrip to do all these things. AFAIK there aren't any "free" tools that do the same.
