How to enable High Speed USB 2.0 on 8k5A2+ ?

Hi all!

when ever I plug my nomad zen xtra I get bellow message,
how do I enable this and how can I check if I have usb 1.1 or 2.0 ?
btw, I also connected PCI usb bracket (looks simular to this Link) that came with the MB but
still no joy

From memory, the 8K5A2+ uses a KT333 chipset, which only has USB 1.1. This would be why Windows correctly points out the lack of hi-speed USB controller!

If this is correct, the only way you can get USB2 support is to purchase a seperate USB2 PCI card.

8K5A2+ uses 8235 which does actually have USB 2.0.

Ensure Service Pack 1 or 2 is installed and goto device manager. Then un-install the USB device (any of the 3). Then run the find new hardware wizard automatically and USB 2 in the form of an enhanced USB controller will be found and installed automatically.
