Question regarding warranty

I just bought a new 8RDA6+ PRO from newegg. I just want to ask some questions before I install the mobo. As far as I understand, even performing a simple "mod" such as replacing the thermal interface pad under the NB cooler with some thermal paste will void the warranty - is this correct?
The board comes with some small heatsinks that I can install on the MOSFET's, will doing this also be considered a "mod" and void the warranty?
My point of view would be that it shouldn't since the heatsinks come with the board. I can understand if you tell me that epoxing them will void the warranty, but what if I just use them as is?
