Is it just me, or are none of those BIOS download links working?

That can't be right. The bios binary should always be 512kb. Don't try to flash it. I'm not even certain it will be able to get flashed.
It's available at the file database here on AOA http://files.aoaforums.com/code.php?file=2090 too.

No problem

Yea couple of us have (read above posts). I wonder to buy some TCCD mems now and not sure if it's a good idea :/
What is stock parameters of your mem sticks?

btw. those mems are TCCD or could be possible TCC5 and how big is difference between them? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146355

Nope, mine are Mushkin V2 LII- Samsung TCCD & Brainpower PCB. Ive had these babys at DDR500, 2-2-2-5-1T, and 2.7V on my Asus A7N8X. Prime95 stable for days too.

I heard somewhere that TCC5 does in fact clock just as well as the TCCD, the diferrence being voltage requirements check it out Here

hehe I haven't even known that your ram is Mushkin
thx for link about TCCD and TCC5 difference.
I'm going to buy this ram and I'm looking for info:
  1. is it LII V2 (model nr.991357)?
  2. is it build on TCCD?
  3. how well it gona work at 8rda6+ pro
don't suggest yourself with photo from newegg as I read opinion of someone who bought it and got ram with a little bit different sticker.
speaking about compability with Epox mobo I know it's kind a random issue but any opinions are welcome

It is:

1) LvII V2 991355
2) Samsung TCCD (Mushkin tech support says all PC3200 LvII V2 is TCCD, I took off heatspreaders to confirm)
3) So far on this board, Ive had trouble with voltage requirements and being able to get tight timings past 220FSB. The key, in my case anyway, was looser timings or leaving it at 200fsb and flipping to a higher multi. All in all, its not too bad on the 8rda6+ pro. I just wish I had some clue why I have to run it at max voltage to achieve stock speed. Im really wanting to see some bandwidth.

I guess MietmaN has the same model memory as you. He also has some troubles with it and 8rda6+ pro. You should read above posts or ask him

And anybody knows: Mushkin model 991357 is LII V2?
For now I've found that difference between 991357 and 991355 is like 2x512MB kit and 1x512MB singlew stick

[EDIT]
Guys I don't wanna flood this topic with my ram consideration anymore. So I started new thread. I know I asked you lot about it. But still it's hard decision and if you have any suggestion or briefly can repeat before ones, pls reply here or about Mushkin XP3200 here.

cheers!

I've answered the Mushkin question /issue in the proper thread.
Guys, any news from Merlin? I haven't had any for a long time and I'm not following this thread now very often.

cheers

You're right, he usually contacts me first, but I haven't heard anything from him for a real long time.

Not your thread - the other memory related one

The only difference I've discovered is mem overvolting on 1.2 and undervolting on 1.4. ET has mentioned something about an improved CPU voltage system on 1.4, but I don't know those technical details.

Hey guys, i have a problem with my 8rda6+, today i bought an Mobile Athlon XP 2600+ but i cant get is work.

I flashed the newest Bios from Merlin, but if i used a multiplicator higher than 12,5 the board switched back to 6x100 and i get an error: "overclocking failed, please reset your cpu setting"

I tried higher CPU Voltage but it dont work. I only want the the CPU is running at its correct speed -> 15x133 is that possible ?

AFAIK it's not possible without hard-mods.
Default possible highest miultiplier you can set is 12.5x (nForce2 limit I guess)

For higher CPU frequencies you need to go up with FSB like 12x166 or 10x200 which gives you 2GHz (Mobile 2600+ stock speed) and should work at your mobile default voltage also. Higher FSB = better overall system performance. Especially memory bandwidth

btw. there is no need to flash Merlin's bios for correct work of Mobile CPU
