Unhappy 8KDA3J Memory Compatibility List

Hi,

Anyone know where I can find a memory compatibility list for this MoBo?

I have now gone through 4 manufacturers(NCP, PQI, Infineon, Samsung) of PC3200 CL3 sticks, and all report back mem. bandwidth of around 2350 in SiSoft 2k2.

Any other vendor chips reccomendations would also be highly appreciated. I cannot just return these items, as that is not "how it works" here in Belarus, and want to quit wasting my money.

Take a look at AMD's web site. They should have a list of approved memory there. (EPoX's list is likely to just be a regurgitation of AMD's list anyway, since AMD is the one making the memory controller.)

I looked at AMD's website, and I have never heard of most of this memory!

But from the looks of it, Corsair hi speed is the memory of choice, at least by users.

Thanks all.

Red face Need help with memory for EP-8kda3j

Hi New member here,

Just finished new build :

A64 3400+
EP-8kda3j Bios 01/05/05
Nforce 5.10
Pny GT6800 Nvidia v. 66.93 @stock clock
Sound Blaster X gamer w/xp live drive update
WinXP Home SP2
Pair of Maxtor ata 133 drives
Pair of Optical drives.

Here is my problem I bought 2 sticks of GeIL 512mb Ultra Platinum PC3200 CAS 2-6-3-3 1T after checking compatibility here .

I under stand that to run at 400mhz 1 stick has to be single sided, mine are both double sided. So I should be able to run at 333 with this updated BIOS.

But it is very unstable with both sticks in crashing in 2d/3d apps. But is only stable with 1 stick in slot 3 ONLY! Either stick works well like that. So I have tried every concievable timinng adjustment including voltage and underclock. Please help me get this system stable with both sticks. I need at least a gig to game with.

Thanks,

Dave
