PCI latency

Well...first off, let me say how happy I am to run across this forum. I've been toying with this motherboard (8KHA+) since it was first released, and I've been nothing but satisfied.

I'm just having trouble OCing the FSB.

I feel like I've tried everything here...I've got an Athlon XP 2000 now, and unlocked, Crucial PC2100...

I've fooled around with voltages, and still the highest I can get it is at 150...and even then it won't load WinXP.

What is PCI latency though? Is that something I should try adjusting? BIOS wise I have the latest one (1/8 I believe). Any suggestions?

PCI Latency is a setting that allows you to set how long a device on the PCI bus can hold onto it without letting another device use it.

It's basically designed for busmastering devices. If a busmastering device has been using the PCI bus continiously for the length of time set in the PCI Latency setting, it's forced off the PCI bus to allow other devices to communicate across the PCI bus.

Useful for tuning up the PCI bus, but not useful for overclocking.

your pci latency comes at 32 default........people have had better (how much?) performance with a setting of 64.....any higher you may run into problems....
