9NDA3J - MS optical mouse L.E.D. ?????

Do have 1 question for you chaps,,,,,,,

Why doesn't my MS optical PS2 mouse l.e.d. not turn OFF when I shut down?

doesnt affect anything but quite annoying.....

Perhaps it has something to do with wake on mouse? If there is an option for that in the BIOS... I can't remember:-(

I will check the power management section when I get home, however isnt there some jumpers on the mobo to select ps2/usb power sources???

plug it into usb, if you can. i think htere is a jumper to fix the problem..but it is not much of a problem . I had the same issue..plugged in the intellipoint into USB, now it turns off.

It is due to power from 5VSB rail in PSU for PS/2

A lot of modern boards now support +5VSB standby power on the PS/2 (and USB) ports to support things like Wake on Keyboard. This can usually only be turned off by a physical jumper on the board. Most nForce2 boards I've seen have these jumpers, most nForce3/4 do not (i.e. standby power is always enabled).

Simplest solution if it bothers you, turn the power off completely.
