NV MAC address?

Hi all,

I just updated bios for 8kda3j. While I was setting up my preferences I noticed the machine would not boot with the NVMAC enabled. It seem to work ok with the setting disabled. Would some one please explain what is setting is? I googled it without much luck.

Thanks

From memory, the setting jut allows you to override the MAC address of the network adapter. If you're not having any problems with the networking, leave it as disabled, and the machine will use the MAC address that was set at the factory.

It's only of any use if the MAC address stored in firmware becomes corrupt for some reason.
