One more thing about 5525 BIOS: when set to "Auto" on 200 MHz FSB, memory clock dropped down to 166 MHz (Kingmax DDR466, SS).

Just doesn't hold. Set it to 5x in BIOS and proggys are reporting 4x. I guess if you overclock, it forces 4x. Too bad, my Asus ran 304 with 5x. I love the board, just a few glitches I would like to resolve.

@ET:
Could you say something about the C'n'Q support?!
All the X2 tests I read say that C'n'Q is not yet working correctly (with the ASUS board) - will it work with EPOX boards? Is there a hardware problem with C'n'Q that has to be solved with newer board or X2 revisions?

There are new X2 Beta Biosses for the 9npa+ boards.
Check:

Thats all very nice but with such a low multi the gains in pure mhz are obviously low can you show some superpi scores etc, having said that is an impressive HTT all the same

CPU-MHz is not important for me. I only wanted to see how high I can go with the 9NPA+ SLI for my mainboard test @
AMD-Insight.de

And the result is impressive I think.

Not sure that there are instructions for this on their site now that the UK site has gone.

The MagicBIOS is the best way to do it. Just go in to the BIOS menu and do 'load failsafe defaults' before doing your flash.

If you want to use a BIOS you have downloaded use winflash.exe.

This program will be on your hard disk if you have installed MagicBIOS.

I think all that MagicBIOS will do is ensure that you have the latest official BIOS and make the whole process quite straight forward. It will use winflash seemlessly to do the actual flashing part.

So, just use winflash if you want to take control and use some other BIOS, such as a Beta.

Well it may not be something that it does all the time but Magic Bios did flash me from 9NPA5629 to 9NPA5322. Which is a step back. (I did however move the files it left on my C: drive first though.) I was hoping that the temp sensor reading wasn't all borked up in that one sence it was the one that they said they fixed it in. (but no luck.) BTW: I just haven't put a floppy in this case yet. lol
