Epox 9NDA3J

I am not sure if it my MOBO, GPU, or my game, but at random times after playing between 1-20 minutes the game crashes. Whole computer freezes and i have to restart the comp. Half the time when i restart i get a message from the mobo that says error- CMOS defaults restored. I have cleared the CMOS, flashed the bios, and restored the system to fail-safe defaults. You can see my setup below. What is going on here!?

The computer just crashed completely and would not start for a while. The mobo was giving me post code 25. I cleared CMOS and it turned on but for how long? I hate this MOBO. This is going to be the 2nd time i am probably going to have to return this same board! I will never buy epox again. Why would a board be this unreliable when I have never even overclocked. what can i do!?

helllo,

try to run memtest and see if you have memory problems first and check other components.

good luck!

Do you have spare parts or spare friends to switch components around? I can't see your setup below.

hmm, I had almost the exact same setup and don't have any problems with crashing. Maybe you have a software confliict.

Have you done all the standard software updates for Micr$oft, chipset, video card?

Question

Sounds as if you have a temp problem. More than likely the cpu is getting too hot.
After it cools off the system will come back alive.
Have you checked the hs/fan installation? Sometimes something can get between the core and the hs on one edge, this will cause a lot heating problems.
If you used the factory heat sink, did you remove the scotch tape from the thermal compound before installing the hs/fan to the cpu?
All of have done this from one time or other.
What type of compound did you use if not the OEM fan and hs?
How much did you put on the core, did you also spread a very thin layer on the hs?
How many fans do you have as intake, exhaust, etc?
You simply must have a very good airflow from the front to the rear of the case and over the components in the case, for things to work like they should.

I figured it out. For some reason the MOBO was giving my memory stupid default timings. I made the timings 2-2-2-5 and now it works fine. Thanks for any help guys!
