hopefully there was a new bios for 9npa+ but last was launched 2005-07-08.......
what happening epox? many issues with venice core and the only novelty was dual core and E6 support, since bought this mobo I verified the common problems, how weird temperatures, high default vcore and can not decrease it , 1T+tccd instability(that other mobos with same setup isn't presented)....... many people need a new bios with improvements

bye

Workaround :
1.PST table updated.
2.Added DDR433 DDR466 DDR500 Support for E vrtsion CPU.
3.4G memory support.
4.Fixed CMOS checksum error after flash MAC address.
5.New USDM support.
I found it very unstable. My 2 cents.

BTW: It didn't fix the temp readings. For me at least.

Yes very unstable, I was hitting fsb=280(2520mhz), 3-3-3-6 (166) with my crap kingston cl3 memory and vcore at 1.55 with the earlier "5629" bios.

Now it bearly booted with safe settings like fsb=267(2403mhz), 3-4-4-8(166), I also had to up my vcore for this setting to 1.55 (prime still errored directly)

Stable with 1.52 before.

Cpu is a 3000+ venice.

I agree. This BIOS (7/28 I think) has some major issues. It really sank my 12v rail from 11.90 to 11.05 and I couldn't OC anywhere close to where I was (I re-flashed with the 6/29 BIOS). I wasted the whole day trying to get it to work.

I'm surprised they let this one go.

Flashed new BIOS. Didn't find any unstabilities. Will try OC with it later. Can't see 12V line because the mobo hasn't such monitoring.

Slightly tested new BIOS for OC. At 300x8x3(HT)x400(DDR)x1.65V(CPUcore) my Winchester 3000+ works, S&M detects cash L2 error. But my CPU had never work fine at 2400 MHz. I think that Venice core can do better OC results. So, I have nothing to say bad about new BIOS stability
