This is only experience info
It is not my intension to bring EPOX sky high but.....
I had in the past a ASUS A8V rev 2.0, with the same CPU like i have now, 3500 winnie. Max
OC was 233 x 11 with mem. setting 3-4-4-11. ( same memory like i have now, Geil 4000 platinium.) +/- 98 procent stable.
Then i bought the 9NDA3J.... what a difference... CPU 237 x 11 (2607 mhz), mem. 2.5-4-4-11, rock stable.
Now i have the 9npa+sli....and i improve again....not with the CPU but with the CPU temps (New bios, minus 5 degrees at full load) and also with the mem. timings, 2.5-3-3-7
So i think maybe i ame lucky....no way, why not???
Wen i bought the 9ndaj, i give mi Asus to mi son, together with a A64 3000+.
Wel... he could not
OC the CPU.. We thought the CPU was the fault and he run it at stock speeds with no probs..
Yesterday i give him mi 9ndaj..... and..... with the same 3000+ .. 245 x 9 , 2205 mhz rock stable. not a super
OC but a surplus of 405 mhz with one difference.....the mobo.
Mi point is... it is not only the CPU who stipulates the
OC potential but also the quality of the mobo
The only thing y d'ont get is why my 9ndaj do not work with the venice core.
But that is not relative to this thread.
EPOX.....RULEZ....
