| Okay, I'm finally posting back. I received the replacement board about two months ago, but only got around to installing it a few days ago as I've already replaced the board with a DFI. The new board works with a 3800+ X2, so the old board was indeed the culprit. That said, the new board has two relatively major problems: 1.) a broken onboard NIC: it can receive an IP, but transfer rates start slow, and get slower until connectivity eventually cuts out altogether. And 2.) It will not run memory in dual channel, regardless of the sticks used, or the timings set, or the voltage. Needless to say, I'm not happy about this at all, but I'm also not going to go through the RMA process once again. I swapped in a PCI NIC as a work around, but Epox has been downgraded to a, "Do Not Buy" until further notice. Thanks to all who contributed to this thread, though. I appreciate all the feedback.

| Nope, it was a refurbished rev 1 board.

| son of a!!! hmmm well i needed to read this before i bought my 9nda3+. I have a 3200+ venice core i my board wont boot. At first it all started with me just wanting to overclock to a 225 FSB with 4xHTT but this would result in a system lock up with detecting IDE drives. I could only overclock to 205 FSB before i would have any system instability. I have an S12-600 PSU that i know works good and OCZ plat rev2 memory that overclocks just fine. It appears i might have fallen victim to this ridiculous bug. At the moment all my board is jammed on 2d post code which is weird since my video card is in fact inserted. I hope i can get the board at least posted and i will try to hold down the power button in order to get it posted. but if i can at least get this thing going again then im going to RMA this board since this appears to be a problem i wont be getting around.

| Answer to the Venice no post bug. Hey All. I just joined the forum and saw this thread and have an answer for all of you. I just started using my rev 2.1 9NDA3J motherboard and was reluctant to buy a dual core cpu for it becuase i couldnt get my friends venice 3000+ to post. Same issues as described in earlier messages. Powers on for 1 sec. fans spin and then NOTHING. SOOOO Frusterating. Solution. After a volley of interesting support emails to epox USA and Taiwan, I got it to work. Here's the email they sent me with the answer in classic EPOX "engrish" Dear Sir May be your board have hardware support Venice and new code processor issue. Please try to remove or cut the on board's one Diod (D1) for this issue check. In english this means to remove a diode from the 9nda3 and then these cpus post. I had to do the same thing for my opteron 165 to post. See the atached files. This of course voids your epox warranty. If you dont feel adventurous enough to perform this 2 second mod yourself and dont want to void your warranty, Epox will do it for you. Hopefully the pics come through. Im a noob to this forum.

| This totally works on 9NDA3 boards that have this issue. Not all of them have this problem. Seems odd that 1 rev 2.1 board will run the E6 chips fine and another won't. Who knows. All i know is that it worked for me and some friends. Hope this helps everyone out.
