ET, what does changing the firmware involve? I mean do you need special equipment and expertise?

Excuse me for being an absolute novice when it comes to PSP's, or anything for that matter. But what is so great about these devices? I've had a look at one of them and the screen and a couple of the games are very imressive. I've not seen any movies or "homebrew" gubbins yet. So what else can one do with it? A simple bullet point list will suffic from those in the know....ahem ET

  • Ability to run "Homebrew" or unsigned code
  • Inability to play European version update check UMD movies *Presently
  • Inability to natively browse the web
  • Inability to natively change the wallpaper
  • Ability to run WAB Changer
  • Ability to run Hookboot
  • Ability to run Fastloader
  • Ability to run UMD Emulator
