overclocking with 9NDA3+

Right...

Currently have 3000 Venice, with Geil 2GB vlaue select. Tried 3 or 4 sets of different RAM, and would only give 2T, leading me to believe it is the mem controller on the CPU (after much debating the issue in these forums).

Have just purchased - AMD Opteron UP 144 San Diego 1.8GHz 1MB Cache (E4 Stepping ideal for overclocking - OSA144DAA5BN / CAB2E 0548EPAW)
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Series EL-DDR CAS2

So I'm hoping for 1T with a nice OC of 2.5GHz+ and was just hoping to get some feedback on memory timings etc from people with this type of setup...

Are you running the memory 1:1? PC4000 is 225MHz as standard isnt it?

I see people with the 144 running 300MHz, wonder what the OCZ will run up to...

Right, admittedly I haven't tried slots 3&4 yet, but basically, BIOS sets memory to 2T, if I set it to 1T get errors in memtest. This would leave me to believe all the bull**** that EPoX came out with telling people that there is nothing wrong with the 9NDA3+ motherboard is crap. I have tried 2 CPU's now (opteron 144 & Venice 3000), and 5 different memories (Corsair XMS4400, xms3200x2, Geil 3200, OCZ 3200)...

I have one MSI board until some other mobo shows up and I have no errors with 1T. I guess that is a good thing. Here is a little bench result.

I think it is 2.1, I will look when I get home later, also, what BIOS are you using?

Honestly though, maybe in a few months, when I can afford it, I'm going to get a new PCI-E graphics card and a non-EPoX motherboard. This mobo has been a right jonah to me, all though in their defence, my 8RDA+ was one of the best mobo's I've ever owned...

Well,I started having stability problems while playing enemy territory and sure enough when running memtest I get tons of errors on test 8.Only way to pass is setting ram to 2t.Even at 240 fsb 1t I had memtest errors.I'm sure glad i spent $ on good ram.Is anyone running any brand ram in dual channel memtest stable at 1t?
