Question about 9NPA+ SLI Voltages..

I am using Ghost monitor.. and when I had active cooling on the ram ( cooling came from this http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16835119011 )and a separate line from the psu it was pretty much constantly 1.50/1.51. I took the cooling off the memory and am sharing the line between the dvd rom and the 3 fans (power is going to fan controller) and it keeps going between 1.49 and 1.55. Are those because I'm sharing power now? Do I need to take the 3 120mm fans and put them back on their own line?

I also changed out the extensions for the fan cables.. are less quality extensions worse for power? I do like that my temps dropped a little bit and I am currently at 37 degrees under folding load and 51 under load priming both cores hehe.

The psu in question is a PC P&C 510 if you need to know.

IF the memory cooler happened to be cooling the power MOSFETs as well... probably not by direct air flow... I could see this happening.

Does it ultimately affect the stability of your system?

Sorry if it was a bit confusing..

I think I may be using the wrong terminology.

1st Scenario:

Had one molex (off of one line) hooked to the fan controller (to power 3 120 mm fans.)

2nd Scenario:

Had two molexes (off of one line) hooked to the fan controller (to power 3 120 mm fans) and one to power the dvd/rw in the system. Would sharing that same power 'line'

I also had a separate molex (off another line) to power 2 40mm fans to cool the memory. Haven't noticed any stability issues.. was gaming all last night and my system stays on 24-7 but just wondering what I could of done to cause those ongoing voltage changes.

I've got a 9NPA+ SLI yesterday.

My cpu (Winchester 3000+) has 1.40v default voltage, but Ghost Monitor reads 1.45-1.46v
Bios voltage setting is Auto.
If I try to change it in +0.05 (for example), Ghost Monitor reads 1.50-1.51.

Always about 0.05-0.06v over the voltage that I have selected...

ps. I'm Italian excuse me for my bad English..:P

I wish I knew how to use a multimeter on these heheh to find out what they really are or if they just read high.

PS Your English is just fine.. better than most in this country!

I think that the effective voltage is that I select into the bios.

My 3000+ is tested for 2400MHz at 1.45v.

If I set Auto (1.40v) in bios voltage setting and oc at 2400MHz, my system chashes after few minutes. Ghost monitor reads 1.46v.

Instead if I set +0.05v (1.51v for Ghost monitor!) the system becomes rock solid.

But also your board has the same problem on voltage reading?

Yep.. my voltages read about .5 higher than what they should. If I set it to 1.5 it usually reads 1.55 or 1.56..

Well unfortunately EPOX AM2 boards use a different Vreg due to this kind of complaint and also the CPU temp with latest BIOS is higher than real temp, hope you are satisfied by this, more than the truth should keep you more than happy.
