Hey guys how about some pics of your setups or at least better discriptions. Post up some cpuz shots. Have you tried running just 2 sticks of memory QNX? How did you do with your 4PDA2+? Sorry but just saying it is no good really is not enough. Tell us more if you will. Do you have an average power supply or a very good one? Need more info..

I asked about the 4PDA2 to get an idea about your overclocking experience. I see a lot of guys with sub-par clocks but it is not always a reflection of the hardware they are using.

Thank you those were some nice clocks. OK so now I know you have some experience. I really can't be of much service to you as I don't have the board and as such I am unaware of what all is in the bios. I will try to find an downloadable version of the book that came with it.

EP-5P965 motherboard

Hello,

Don't laugh, but does anyone know when this MB will be coming to the UK?

Only supplier in the USA seems to be newegg, and they won't ship internationally.

Sadly I think since the 4PCA3+ and 4PDA2+ EPoX's BIOS for Intel chipset whilst feature packed have not been anywhere near as refined in terms of overclocking as their AMD counterparts.

As for who promoted 4PDA2+ the most its probably me by volt modding one and supplying it to Custom PC Magazine in the UK pre release. They then phase changed it and created the first ever "Beat the office PC" competition and were unbeaten for months.

I would agree with the greatness of the 4PDA2+ but. I believe their best board was the 5PDAJ and even Epox did not know it. I have recently put together 2 systems on the 4PCA3+ and they are both just silky smooth systems. Let us know where you get with your clocks ruuning that 1.86

I will agree that EPoX did not treasure the greatness of 5PDAJ and you did show it. For all the disagreements / snipes we have had I will applaud you for getting the ultimate of performance from the last the great EPoX intel boards. Lets hope with new people in R & D from other tier 2 with BIOS experience they will shine (although i think experienced in VIA / NVidia).

915 seems to have been where it all sort of went wrong sorry UK guys me leaving EPoX means it is hard for you to get these boards

i just got this motherboard .... but haven't had the time to set it up yet .... still need to get a PSU and a videocard.

first i did though is remove the crappy chipset cooler ..... and what i saw kinda scared me hehehehe ... the thermal paste .... if you could call it that .... was more like a chewing gum hehehehe. I chopped up my old Tt volcano 7+ cooler into 2 pcs .... the small thin pc i'm gonna use to cool the mosfet near the cpu .. and the larger pc i'm gonna slap on the northbridge.

Goodluck to me !!!! hehehehehe I've had 2 Epox boards in the past ...... the last one 8RDA+ rev2.0 is still working fine

RAID is a pain to work with .... managed to install win xp on raid 0 .... but as as soon as i installed chipset drivers system started to lock up .... back to single drive mode for now.
