EP-8rda+ don't work with DDR 1Gb PC3200

sorry for my bad english...
i've just bought an 1Gb DDR SAMSUNG PC3200 400Mhz for my motherboard ep8rda+, but don't work.....

When pc starting himself emitting a very bad "bip" and POST CODE displaied C1 (Memory compatibility problem).

Can you suggest a solution ??
I can change BIOS setting for resolving problem ??

Can you give the exact specs of the memory, the processor type and which speed you're running it?

Did you replace your old memory with the new stick or did you add the new stick to your old memory config? Because in that case you might already have found your problem. The nforce2 memory controller starts having serious trouble with configs above 1gb, in fact there already are stability issues with 2x512Mb configs.

Here's what you could try.
1. remove the new memory module
2. Make a bootable CD with memtest86
3. Power down your system and reset your bios using the jumper
4. Insert the new memory module, power up and run memtest86 from the CD, if you get a POST.
5. Use test #4 and test #5, let both run at least several passes.

If at step 4 the system doesn't boot up, remove the new memory stick again and put back the old memory, go into the bios and manually set the timings to 2.5-3-3-11. If your memory is rated CL 3 you should set 3-3-3-11. Retry step 4.
