EP-9NDA3J chipset cooler replacement

Hello all, it's been a while.

I was given an EP-9NDA3J rev 2.1 bundled with a 3700 San Diego and with 2 sticks of OCZ Platinum rev 2. Unfortunately I've only got a stock AMD cooler at the moment (looking into getting a Thermalright XP90).

I have a Vantec Iceberq 4 (CCB-A4C) lying around and am wondering if it will easily replace the stock chipset fan. I've had this fan for a couple of years and couldn't get it to mount on a MSI 440mx VTP due to interference so it was never used.

Thanks.

About all I can suggest is that you give it a go. Just looking at pictures on the web, I can't tell for certain, but it LOOKS like you shouldn't have any clearance issues.

Well, I've put the Vantec on top of the stock cooler and the pin mounts line up. I might pull out the motherboard over the weekend and find out for sure if there aren't any clearance issues. There are a few components under the stock cooler that look low enough, but I can't really tell without having the motherboard out of the case and in my hands.

I'll get back with results as soon as possible.

Thanks for the input.

It won't fit. There are 2 sata connectors behind the top pci slot that get in the way, I couldn't see them because the cooler on my video card was blocking the view. Looks like I'll be holding onto that chipset cooler until I find something it will fit on.
