The last stand (for Epox)

Now that Epox is gone, which boards remain in use?

I'm still using my 9NPA+ SLi board, it's been 100% reliable all this time, and rock solid.

Which Epox boards do other people out there, still have up and running?

I'm confused. I'm sure I was told that Epox were long dead and buried.
But they have a website which is fully operational, including details of newly released product lines....

EPoX Website

On the main (.tw) site, the last announcement appears to have been on the 14th March 2007. There doesn't appear to be any 'new' products for a good number of months now - even on the US site, the last 'new' product appears to have been at the beginning of 2007.

Bear in mind, that there's more than one Epox (or was). Quite often global companies are in fact several companies located in different countries, with a different board of directors.

Epox in the US appeared to be the last firm to go. Most likely they had a larger stock of boards, prior to the shut down of production in Taiwan.

The website is most likely a ghost now, with no webmaster. It will dissapear soon enough when no-one pays the hosting fees....

The guys who designed the boards now work at Supox, which is China market only.

WOW I have been waiting to upgrade to newer components so havent kept up with Epox developments. Well sad to see them not around anymore

I do still have a 8rda+ working fine and one 8rda3+ also still humming along.

So what other brands are you going to use?

ughanda Well it looks like Gigabite and MSI are cleaning up their AMD act with mobo's with good capacitors and such so maybe there will still be an answer to ASUS I been loking hard at one of the new PHENOM boards from one of these 3 companies just saving my dollars to see which one it will be!

My last EPoX was a 9NDA3+ Rev 2.1, it was the worst board I ever owned, and to this day I still cant believe how the EPoX tech and AOA guys came down on all the people who complained about it on here. It was possibly the biggest PoS mobo ever, wouldn't run several different Corsair and OCZ matched pairs in 1T, failing memtest, and constantly crashing giving BSOD! Changed to the motherboard I am currently running in my signature, and the same memory modules run sweet, pass memtest, no BSOD etc....

Prior to that I had the 8RDA+ with an XP2500 running as XP3200, it was the sweetest board I ever owned.

It's been so long since I thought about it I don't know if remember the model numbers correctly. I think one 8RGA+ (1700+ TbredA @ who cares), one 8RDA3I (2500+ Barton @ 2200), two 8RDA3 Pro (2400+ mobiles @ 2300), and one 9NPA (Opteron 146 @ 2700).

Today the box fairy delivered a GA-P35-DS3L and E2180

Still running a 8RDA3+ as home server. Working nice and almost silent (my wife attempted several times to start it while already running).
