Which Nforce should i buy? 560 or 570? or is there something better?

Welp.. i haven't built a PC sinse the Athlon Barton XP days.. and iam highly outdated and i been doing some researching.

Whats the differene between these 2 mobos in OCing and performance with SLI?

I was planning on getting the Black edition 5000 Athlon, and it was going to be all swiftech cooled... so i just want to make sure i get a good mobo to take advance of the OCing.

so far the only differenes i can see between the 2, is more SATA slots, more PATA slots... and different onboard audio.. is that it?

Will they both perform the same Processor and PCI express (SLI) wise?
If they are the same.. i'll just get the 560 and are any of those 600 or 700 series Nforces better Overclockers? (i didn't consider any of the 600 or 700s, because i think most of them on newegg have onboard video.. which i won't be using.. so no use for me spending 100 more bux on a mobo.. unless it can OC better)

The 570 chipset provides more lanes (28 lanes vs 20 lanes) and more HT links (6 vs 4), and the capability to handle dual lan and TCP offload. Both run the SLI interfaces as 2x 8lane slots.

As far as OC goes, I'll let someone else fill that in!

I don't know how the 590 stacks up (I think it does 2x16 in SLI mode?) - however, there is information on the nVidia page. Of course, how much Asus have made available on their boards is another thing!

Hi Aedan,

590 excels over 570 for overclocking in terms of FSB in most cases unless you can get a 570 with some efuses knocked over (as in a "review board" )
