Has anyone determined if Windows 7 is compatable with nforce and nforce 2 motherboards?

Not really sure. You might have more of a speed issue than anything. What are your system specs?

It worked fine on my Epox 8RDA3+ (NF2). Silicon Image has even been thoughtful enough to provide Window 7 drivers for the RAID controller.

I have an epox 9nda3+ with the dual 3800+ and 1 gig memory with an 850 ati graphics card and 320gig hard drive. I know right off I will have to upgrade to 2-4 of the memory. The DVD burner is the latest and greatest liteon.

thanks for the responses.

i have been having problems (pc resets and game crashes) since i installed win 7 two months ago, i have tried every nforce 2 driver i could find on the net but none of them helped. my pc specs are as follows:
epox 8rda+ pro, amd 2500+ athlon cpu, ati hd3650 512mb vga and 1gb of RAM
sometimes i get BSOD and pc resets itself mentioning a problem about nvcmp.sys (or something like that which is the name of one of the mainboard drivers) or just a game crash and kicks me to desktop.

any help would be really appreciated. thank you in advance.

Where did you get the NF2 drivers for 7? I do not see them under legacy drivers on the nVidia site.

They are on the Win7 install disk.

If you are running overclocked, drop it to default speeds. Inspect the board for bad caps.

I forgot to mention to inspect your northbridge heatsink. This is a pretty old motherboard by now; the paste used from the factory hardens to a chalk like consistency, which doesn't help much with cooling. I'd pull it off, dress it with a file to make sure it's flat, and then use a good quality thermal compound such as AS5. I've learned to do this with all older motherboards to eliminate the northbridge chip as a potential source of instability.
