EPoX HDD detection ?

I have a problem with detection of my hard disk.
Well here is the thing. My SATA hard disk broke down so I get a new one ATA. My windows worked perefectly untill I reset my bios... I look throue connection everything seems fine ... IDE1 to hdd IDE2 to CD... when I turn on the computer it's apear something like this

Serial-Ch0 Master : No Device
Serial-Ch1 Master : No Device

(I set 1st boot CD 2nd boot HDD) And its apear "boot from cd press any key..." I don't press nothing and after that it freeze...
And I don't know what to change in my bios to fix this non detection of my hdd... (I am usig EPoX 8VTA) Can you help me?

Your hdd is probably set to Master instead of Slave.

There should be some jumpers on the drive that allow it to be configured. There should also be some instructions with the drive indicating how to set the jumpers.

Personally, I usually set the hdd as Master and the CD as Slave, because I've had problems in the past with drives not booting properly when the CD was the Master, but in theory either way should work.
