Lights on 8K3A+

Just found this forum, I looked around to see if I could find another thread on this issue but have not.
I have a ch pro throttle and ch joystick, both connect usb independently, the lights on both of these stay lite after shutdown. I have a intellimouse explorer that also stays lite up after shutdown. I have owned several Epox board (all atx) and this is the first one that has done this. I have a enermax 431 watt power supply and also have the latest bios. Anyone ever found a fix for this.
Thanks In advance

This is normal with the 8KHA design based mainboards such as the one you are using.

It can be altered with BIOS update however the effects of disabling this effect aren't as good as keeping them if you get what I mean.

Suffice to say I'd be happy to keep them

I think turning off your PC at the wall is the only solution.

its so you can do clever stuff like keyboard power on.

This is true that this line does eminate from the 5VSB line of the PSU ( avery important area of the PSU for S3 functionality).

Side note - Systems with poor power supplies with bad 5VSB areas always fail WHQL WLP2.0 testing due to their inability to stably complete S3 functions - so to say - bad PSU's are oft the cause of bad S3 functionality (along side poor windows install or bad windows maintenance).

CWT320W I am using has a REAL 3 amps of 5VSB.

I was having the same problem with keyboard and Optical mouse light staying on. On one post I read, said to plug them into usb instead of ps2. It cleared up the problem, however I don't like using my usb ports for my keyboard & mouse.

Glee
