the 8kha runs the kt266 chipset, and the 8kha+ runs the kt266a chipset. you want the latter.

The 8KHA+ has a different Clock Gen and of course the KT266a. There alsoa few other capacitance changes which make it even better than the 8KHA it replaces. The performance of 8KHA+ is also approximatley 22% greater than 8KHA and 8K7A which were previously our joint fastest product. That performance is an average measurement of benchmarks with an MP processor including Office apps, 3D and real-world.

There will be a version of 8KHA with RAID called 8KHA2. Remember that the reviewer at AMDMB.com is just that - a reviewer !!! 8KHA2 will have 4 184pin Dimm slots and the HPT372 RAID Controller.

Thanks for the answer - but now I need to be patient for a bit longer! I think that your answer clearly shows the value to us of EPoX's involvement here - why listen to someone's opinion when you can get the correct answer straight from the horse's mouth. I'm all in favour of more manufacturers taking this kind of role - but we will remember who was first ![]()
