Can't flash the BIOS....

Flashed it back last November with the 8KHAL00.bin version, but since then, all I get is an "Unknown Flash Type!" alert when I try to flash a new version in.

I've tried the F2 route, and the AWDFLASH off a floppy route, both with BIOS's off the official EPoX download site, with no success. I tried several floppies, in case it was a bad disk, and several downloads in case it was a bad transfer.......

Any idea whats up?

Good Call!

EPoX must have a dodgy version of AWDFLASH on their site......

I used the AWDFLASH from Flashdisk to put the 8khi2529 BIOS from EPoX in.

Running like a dream

I had the same problem with the version from their web site. It actually ruined a couple of bios chips. You lucked out.

Thanks for the help guys.

EPoX Tech - I tried the string with the AWDFlash I d/l'd from the EPoX site, and it still didn't work.

The only AWDFlash that works is the version on Flashdisk......
