| 8k3a+ 2619 official bios with no ALC650/ Rev. 1.2 Boards support Why are does of us that spent extra money on Rev. 1.2 8k3a's still forgotten. There wasn’t a bios from all these betas that fully supported 1.2 board's. That's discrimination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| does it say it has no alc650 support or did you flash it and find out that way? cause i have the rev 1.2 and i use the audio so it would be a bummer if it didnt' work after i flashed with this bios.

| awe, that's bad business ;-=[. How could they make a mistake like this over and over again ;-=\, I purchased 2 8k3a+'s rev 1.0 and rev 1.2 because of the audio and other issues. I have the little 6 channel audio sticker on my board with a VIA's AC'97 driver. I ran the alc650 install and bang pops up via's ac '97 driver.I hope this will be corrected ASAP. Its not fair to people like me, who paid extra for rev 1.2.

| Don't think so. Are you sure about this? I don't think so, because AC 97 is a codec ?? and it's not VIA's. Look in your hardware properties and find out what drivers are installed Here it's listed as Avance AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller, so it's clear that this is the driver for ALC650, made by Avance Logic (RealTek).

| driver installed = Via ac' 97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM) driver version = 5.12.1.3670 driver date = 3-12-2002 manufacture = Via technologies inc. on a 8k3a+ rev 1.2 this driver can't be the alc650 driver?

| I have it also in my properties listed as: Avance AC'97 Audio for VIA (R) Audio Controller on a 8k3a+ rev 1.2 And of course I have also the little 6 channel audio sticker on my board with a VIA's AC'97 driver. So it must be right! Maybe EPoX Tech can tell us ........

| theirs also a alc650 driver thats is a later version then whats supplied on the motherboard cd. http://www.realtek.com.tw/htm/downlo...lass1=computer driver provider - Avance Logic, Inc. driver date - 5/30/2002 driver version - 5.10.0.3900 driver signer - Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher

| It isn't like the 6 channel audio isn't available on the 8k3a+ rev 1.2, because it is. I'm able to choose from 2 channel 4 channel and 6 channel using this audio driver: driver provider - Avance Logic, Inc. driver date - 5/30/2002 driver version - 5.10.0.3900 driver signer - Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher location - http://www.realtek.com.tw/htm/downl...class1=computer Why would the via tech 2 channel audio driver from the rev 1.0 8k3a, even install on the rev 1.2 8k3a alc650, if the audio controllers are different. Why is the name of the audio controller "Avance AC'97 Audio for Via (R) audio controller" if the controller is indeed realtek and not via ?

| I've found my problem. If I do a clean install of the WinXP Avance Logic driver install's fine for the alc650 and I have use of the 6 channel audio, the minute I do a windows update it will substitute the driver with the Via's AC/97 drive and no longer can use 6 channel audio, that happens also in a bios upgrade without a clean install. Sorry Epox it's not your fault.

| There is not an issue of the BIOS in respect to this. I think there is an error elsewhere, but not in the BIOS.
