Unhappy Debug LED?

I've just brought a 4G4A+ and P4 1.6 Northwood. The debug LED is displaying a number but I don't know what it means? Everyting appears to be working fine, but where can I find out what they mean? Also I ordered a stick of 256Mb DDR 333, but my BIOS reads it at 266MHz, does this mean its not 333MHz? And finally why when I press the @ key does it print " and vice versa. Sorry about the quite basic level of these questions, I know somethings but not others, blatant or otherwise! Cheers if you can help, Nick.

DDR333 (PC2700) means that it's rated for that speed and UNDER. Basically, DDR is capable of running at 166 Mhz, whether you do so is dependent upon your willingness to overclock your machine and your machine's capability to do so. As long as you run your machine at 100FSB and the memory at 133 Mhz, the BIOS will read your memory as 266 Mhz no matter what your memory is rated for.

Concerning the switched keys, it can be one of two things. Crossed wires somewhere on your keyboard (highly unlikely), or you accidentally remapped your keyboard (much more likely).

As for the LED, if you would post the code that it is displaying, I'm sure someone will have an answer for you.

Thanks for the answers! I sorted the keyboard out, it was the latter, it was set to English US rather than English UK. The code coming from the debug LED is FF. I have no idea what this means or if it means anything. I can't find it in the manual or on the Epox website. Any is again greatly appricated.
Thanks, Nick.

Also, thanks mooky for the help, I know where to change the settings for the FSB, but what should they be to run the memory at 333?
Thanks.

The code FF just means that the mobo completed it's post tests.

The FF code is the final step in the diagnostic process. FF is (I believe) 256 in Hexadecimal. Since you have a P4 1.6a, you should be able to run it at 133FSB, 2128 Mhz. At 133, the 1/4 PCI divider should kick in so none of your PCI devices or your video card should run out of spec, you will only be overclocking your CPU and memory which is what you want. If you set your memory so that it runs at 5/4, then you'll be running your memory at 166 which would be PC2700 (DDR333).
