| Question for unlocked XP! I just unlocked my XP and there is something wrong.It works good at 9.5x170 fsb.MB is 8K3A+ and xp1600+, and results in syntetic test are much better BUT 3dmark is lower abot 2K than previous set. 10.5x158 and during 3dmark there is small blocking which last a split secong.Any sugestins? P.S. It`s much colder?!?

| 3dmark is more of an overall test than most synthetic benchmarks, the drop in memory bandwidth from 170mhz to 158 could easily explain reduced 3dmark performance although a 2000 3dmark difference is a lot. I think the "small blocking" is what is known as an artifact. basically the graphics card is running too close to its limit. Though this is at the lower FSB which is unusual. Im sorry I cannot help more. I am not an expert with the 8K3A+ even though i own one (never had it working for more than a couple of hours)

| ok in that case, I would guess the graphics card cant cope with the AGP slot being out of spec. That makes a lot more sense. thank you for clarifying the situation  try backing off the FSB a little, until you no longer have artifacts when running 3dmark, you should also find that the 3dmark is higher.Ive had similar problems when I heavily overclocked my graphics card. at a certain point the GPU just couldnt cope and the score actually dropped

| Can you please give us the full spec of your PC. What do you get at 161x10 ? What memory timings and voltages

| Here it is.... Sorry for late responce but I was away. MB 8K3A+ rev.1.2 BIOS 2912 All those things disabled in BIOS shadows etc.... Winbond pc2700(settings fastest) 9x175fsb(no change when normal during tests) Maxtor 40gb 7200 XP AGOIA 1600+ Leadtek gf3ti200 Leadman 300w dualfan Detonators 40.41 As I was saying everything is "working" but 3dmark is lower and something is defenetly wrong not only for score but you can see little lockups during test. I think thats all. Thanks
