For Overclockers

Hey, when are board manufacturers going to start advertising how well their board performs when a user overclocks or are they just going to leave that to the reviewers?? lol

Unless things change in a big way as far as Intel and AMD chips go, Reviewers will have to do the crowing for the Motherboard makers.

lol, thats what I figured. It seems to me that if they are going to make boards that have a great overclocking ability, then it should be mentioned in the description for the board. you shouldn't have to find out details on how well a board performs while being overclocked through a reviewer that you don't even know is credible. Honestly, I'd rather here it directly from the manufacturer....that is, as long as they stay honest and don't try to stretch the truth, lol

Jeff doesn' care what the reviewers or manufacturers say. He wants to hear what knowledgeable competent end-users have to say about the product in question, or at least earlier revisions of the product in question. He bought his EP-8KHA+ because he has two friends that were very pleased with the performance and stability of the earlier EP-8KHA . . .

Well, then they should advertise user opinions whether they be good or bad. Maybe even have their own forums for open discussion on products by the end-user. Either way, I'm sure you get what I mean, lol Another suggestion would be that they give me free products and I will post here whether I like them or not, lol....

Whilst offering overclocking features, it is not in the best interests of anybody to promote them, beit the manufacturer or the customer.

Is the main reason for that because the vast majority do nort know how to properly overclock their CPU, RAM, etc. or is it because many warranties are voided if any sort of overclocking occurs--the CPU for example--or is it simply both of these or neither?? lol Thanks!! I'm glad we have some type of rep from a board manufacturer on our forums....you have helped us sooooo much already. Plus it's alot easier to post on this forum than to talk on the phone and pray that you won't be on hold for 30 min to an hour....lol

just curious as to why board manufacturers as well as other companies don't make boards, CPUs, RAM, etc. specifically for overclocking and just put warnings with them....or would this be too much hassle??

You have to remember and appreciate that overclockers make up such a minute fraction of a percent of PC users worldwide that such consideration is not budgetable.
