8k9a2: Is it dying? :(
My 8K9A2 will not boot past the memory check in POST. Usually it doesnt start the counter showing the memory amount, sometimes tho it stops at a seemingly random number, 84800k for example.

I have tried memory from another machine, and tested my memory in another machine, but my 8K9A2 will still not boot and other machines have no problem with my RAM.

I have also reset the CMOS, but this didnt help.

So.... am I in the market for a new motherboard or could it be something else?

Thanks for reading :)

Check the capacitors around your DIMM sockets, and see if any of them have bulging tops or brown or black goo around the bottom of them.
