Need a vdimm mod for a 8k7a.

I think ive finally pinpointed why i cant get over 170mhz fsb without loosing stability.
I've heard alot of guys going over +180mhz have there vdimm set to 3.1 , 3.2 .
I know my system can handle 190 fsb, because if i run the memory at less aggresive timings its rock solid.

If some of you epox guru's could help me out , id really be in debt to you. This has been bothering non stop.

Thx!!!!!!! :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

But I dont know if i should dare try it?
Looks a little complicated , and im not so precise when it comes to soldering :-D :-D

But... I reallly appreciate you finding it for me!

UUUUUUUU
Just remember to ask:

Does the 2 pin mod work for the 8k7a board and how do you do it, and how high does it get you??

When you say "2 pin mod", are you referring to the mod that I posted the link for?

If the answer to my question is "yes", then my reply is that it does work. Instead of using a resistor, I used an adjustable pot. With that I can take V I/O past 3.6V (default ~ 3.3V). It is not a complictaed mod. However, you must take your time as the points you are soldering are small. I am not an experienced electronics person by any degree. I am just someone who takes their time and thinks about things before tackling them. The instructions are included in the link, and they are very easy to follow.
