EPoX EP-9NDA3J is it worth it? I've been looking to buy this board "EPoX EP-9NDA3J" with a Venice 3000+ and Corsair 2x512 value ram. But how stable and good is this mobo? Or is there a beter board out there in my price range ($100 below)? Thanks |
9NDA3J is a great board in terms of functionality, performance, stability and price - it would make a great purchase I think. |
I've got one. So far, so good. I've been quite happy with it. Maybe you could define some more parameters as to what you're looking for? |
You may want to have a look at the DFI motherboards as they appear to support the new X2 cpus... |
I would say if you want to purchase a new PCIx video card the DFI would be the better choice over this mobo. Epox does mfg a PCIx 9NPA+ mobo that compares to the DFI in most performance benchs and OC's per persons that actually own both of the mobo's. These mobo's will cost probably a good 50% more than the one you are mentioning in this post. |
I cant afford to get a new video card right now so im gonna stick with AGP (9800pro) for a while. Plus the only major reason why i want to upgrade to skt939 is because my P4 2.4ghz is limiting my gaming, specially in UT2004 (sometimes drops to 30fps) Correct me if im wrong but Venice 3000+ 939 should be at least 35% faster than my current P4 (specially in gaming) right? About the motherboard, I heard alot of good things about Asus A8V but I hate VIA chipsets with a burning passion, also the Gigabyte GA-K8NSC wasnt too bad from my price point. The only thing thats stoping me from buying the Gigabyte board is because it has 1800HT insted of 2000. Does HT really matters anyways? Thanks again |

I have one purring away in my system. Not the most extreme setup with vapo/water cooling or insanely tight timings, but it's been super stable for me so far. |
LBJGH::Would you provide the link to where I could get the nForce 3 LanParty 393 by DHL? I have searched long and wide and cannot find this mobo anywhere. It is not listed on the DHL website. Thanks BJ |

Ack - I think this is the wrong forum for the discussing of other boards! That aside, I am very curious as to the 9NDA3J + X2 combination... it would be terrific if, in the near future, I could build a system with my 9800Pro and an x86-64 Sempron, and in the not-so-near future, it would become an (X2-compatible) "hand-me-down". |
I have one and I like it. I've done some mild overclocking and have no issues. I couldn't afford a new video card so I kept my 9600XT. In about six months I will probably buy a used 6800GT (AGP) or equivilent. The biggest issue right now is whether Epox is going to support it's current customers by providing an X2 compatible bios. |
