EPoX Tech 9th October, 2001 10:04 AM

We would like to welcome all users to this area of the AOA Forums dedicated to EPoX mainboards.

Through co-operation with AOA Forums manager Daniel Edgar we have set up an Area dedicated to EPoX mainboards that we would like to be a newsgroup with a difference.

We would like to see this area flame free (as with all areas of this forum) and polite with a focus on giving the enthusiast end user some assistance along the way with his overclocking or hardware related issues in the EPoX foray.

We would also like to use this area as a place where we can pick up user issues which we can then perhaps begin to address - sort of you helping us to help you.

Please enjoy this area.

Samuknow 12th October, 2001 01:34 PM

I have never really checked out Epox in great detail. I must say the site is great. I really like the matrix for board comparison. A true side by side. Welcome, and I think I may have found my next mobo.

I love this!!! You guys made my day!
I just purchased an 1800+ to run on My 8k7a+, but I understand need a BIOS upgrade, anyway thanks for being here, epox make the BEST mobos. I've got ASUS, Iwill, and shuttle, but my epox is what I use.
Thanks for putting out a great product..
Now if my floppy drive worked so I could flash my BIOS, and get my new paly out of the iwill mobo, and in the caddy aka 8k7a+ then I'll be like a pig in ... j/k

Please make another board with cpu voltage adjustment over 2.0v like the 8K7A is.
I hate having to do mod's.

I believe Epox Tech mentioned somewhere that the 8KHA2 would combine the overclocking features of the 8K7A with the KT266A chipset. I'll see if I can dig it up. And welcome to the forum!

EDIT: Found it! A quote from Epox Tech:

A good pointer would be - 8KHA+ has everything in BIOS, but doesn't have extreme VccCore alteration without modification. It does however have extreme VDimm voltage.

8K7A+ on the other hand has increased VccCore manipulation and of course does have RAID but doesn't have so much VDimm adjustment.

8KHA2 that will be out in January will offer the best of both worlds in a quad phase power solution which will introduce AGP voltage alteration to us to assist with video card overclocking also (remember 8KTA3 series).

And of course, a link to the thread would be nice:
