Sold items

Is there any chance we can have the sold item threads removed, or at least locked, so we don't go getting our hopes up?

IF I find something that is sold I usually mark it int he orginal post as such.

Yeah, but when you see post 8RDA+ 400fsb for sale - I cream myself, but then it's already sold!

We did consider removing the sold items, Robbie and I. But Robbie felt, correctly I think, That the more successful the classifieds are, with sold items removed, the more it would appear that the classifieds were not being used!

Yep, I was going to start Moving and Deleting after the classifieds become a little more busy.

May I suggest, locking the thread of the sold items!
That way they stay, but we know they're sold!

Seems like a good idea . However a locked thread is still there and needs a person to attempt to post in order for them to know the thread is locked. So we end up at square one ":O}

We could make a SOLD category under classifieds, if you wish

That way the classifieds user would still be able to see all the transactions that have been done, yet he would not run across sold items in the normal category.

That's what they do in other forums. I don't mind it, but wanted to wait just a tad for the traffic to pick up.

Shoot a click in the classifieds is all I ask!!!
