search function

Ive had this a couple of times.

When searching for stuff you often want to search for a abbreviation or acronym..

In this case VIO...but because its less then 3 letters I cant search for it.

Can you change the search function..or will it make things go wrong ?

Thanks.

good point, I don't understand why the limit is there in the first place really, how does not being able to search for 3 letters affect the forum?

Sorry, we aren't here right now, but please leave a message at the tone

I think we should get rid of that too. Maybe set it to 1.

I tried setting it to 2, but because the search index only had words bigger than 4 in it, it wouldn't find anything with 2 or 3 letters anyway. So, like, I can set it, but only future posts would be searchable, and that would cause some confusion I think.

Oh thats Ok then.

Better not to confuse.

Is there any way (without causing you allot of work) to add words with three letters to the search ?
