Files that are suitable for uploading to AOA's files??

I hope this is in the right topic heading. I'm curious what kinds of files are right to add to AOA's collection. I've got some old utility(for Win9x) files that do the job very well, and have the virtue of being small and don't have spyware or other noxious contents. My Q, please: Most of these programs have copyrights, and some are shareware or have limited time usage. I've assumed that these aren't OK. Please let me know if these are not wanted for AOA's collection. Thanks!

As long as it is legal to distribute them they should be fine.

Thank you very much for answering my questions, Daniel ~ and Pinky. These programs are so old(some from 1994, I think) that I'm not certain if the original restrictions for them are still in place. Is it safe to assume that their original terms of use still apply?

The reason that I've held on to them is that progs that came after them were not as good, or even more severely "EULA'd" than the older versions. And searches I made for later editions of them often yielded nothing. The progs I found to replace them over time were invariably not as effective and bloated, to boot.

Newer is not inherently better! I hope I'm not being a bother.

cloasters, if you can contact the companies that made these programs they will let you know whats ok and whats not! I would also guess if they went bankrupt or anything it wouldnt be a problem.
