Question Favorite Game of All Time????

What's the best game ever in your opinion? One of my favorites would have to be GTA2 for some odd reason or another..not sure why..

I always loved adventure games. My favourites were the monkey island series, Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones - those lot.

Now that's a tough one. No way I can narrow to just one. I'd say some of my ties for first would be

It Came From the Desert: on the Amiga
Original Resident Evil: on the Playstation
Original Doom: on the PC
Fallout 2: on the PC
Under a Killing Moon: on the PC

I've likely forgotten some of the games I really liked as a younger nerd, but these 5 are up there.

This may all change once Doom III comes out, however.

No easy way to answer that question... A few games from my younger days were sorta fun though...

Commander Keen
Unreal Tournament
Day Of The Tentacles
Sam & Max Hit The Road
Heroes Of Might & Magic I - III

Can't wait HOMM 4...

Oh, I almost forgot an Old School Fav.

Gateway to Apshai. IT kicked @ss and can be considered the predecessor to the Diablo Series. There were several in the Apshai series, but Gateway was the best.

Even though it's a Q3 engine, I love Star Trek Elite Force. Another classic is Total Annilation. TA is probably my all time favorite over GTA2.

I like a lot of games.... CS, NFS5, Q2, Q3 but the one that captured my heart like nothing else was UT.

Good, old Civilization is prolly the best game ever! Its the one I've played the most, followed by the Championship Manager series (soccer manager games), Quake1, UT etc.

Sorry, forgot to add the Final Fantasy series to my list
I have played FF1 - 6 with the help of emulators, while playing FF7 - 8 on the PC. I'm still waiting in frustration for Square to release FF9 - 10 for the PC... Although this will be highly unlikely with Sony being the second largest stock holder at Square...

But the multiplayer sucked, all the other people moved too slow

Ever played the Jihad mission? Those mission things are awesome.

X-COM: UFO Defense (Enemy Unknown, for you Brits), and X-COM 2: Terror from the Deep have withstood the test of time for me. Too bad they don't work with GeForce2 video cards....

Tought decision. I'd have to say a toss up between the Rainbow Six series, the original X-Com, and Mechwarrior 2.

The Rainbow Six series appeals to the military man in me =)
Ghost Recon looks to be my next big adventure.
