i guess there are 2 more sites to be hacked yet....

www.steampowered.com/test/

www.valve.com/test
the valve one contains a file listed as leprechaun.xls...someone wnna givei it a go and find something?
lmao
I have no hacking skills so I'll refrain from trying. (I wouldn't even know where to start.) However, I'm going to go ahead and guess that these sites are just valve employess playing around with us and that there's nothing of value in any of them.

HAHAHA, now Holywood can make a movie called Gabe Identity and anyone can have the leading role as Gabe himself. And Cadaveca, eventualy the game will be done, but think a second about those that expressed they're happiness and they kissed Gabe and now =( it's so sad, I almost cry !!!

quite a few mags are hinting at something big in the month of september.
as i heard SDK's will be available the 18th, this makes me beleive we will see it this month. but who knows. i just bought a few games on the weekend, so i should be all set until it comes...even if it's christmas.

2 more preloads left...
last night there was a CouterStrike: Source update that included sound files for HL2.
We already know that the CS:S uses the HL2 executable to start, as noted by numerous people with firewalls. Problem is that the real executable is STEAM itself.
I was told that there would be 4 preloads...next should be more textures, and some sound, and the last should be the levels themselves.

None of this is official, however, the magazine that i had posted a pic of earlier, yesterday stated that the review they hinted @ with the full page add will be delayed until the october issue, and knowing that the review must be complete for the magazine to get printed, and that the october issues will be printed this month, makes me think that my original date of September 21st should be accurate, and 24th for those of you in the UK.
There have been alot of strange artwoork being found lately, and what has been assumed to be the box art for the 2 different versions. Found ON the artwork has been the numbers 9, 24, 100, 81, and 24. first 2 on one pick the remaining 3 on another. of course this is all heresay, but they posted a new pic after there were hacking attemps made @ the Half-life2.com site. Nice.

I hope it'll not go like this. Every bit of HL2 is on your PC and just when you enter in the game there is this message: Please preload again. Some files suffered corruption. We're sorry for the inconvenience!

Hehe

lmao....
i was afraid of that too, when i first found out that the HL2 in the sti packages was for download or you had to pay for shipping. But, here we are....alomost 10 months sinve that first time i loaded up steam.....
fortunately there have been few issues, and steam or vavle, whatever, they are quick to put out updates...if on a daily basis they could they probably would.
when there are issues, most are dealt with within a week, and that's quite fantastic if you ask me. no other software company seem so bent on keeping their users happy.
there is losts of myth about HL2 and what is happening, and most of it is due to the supposed release dates taht kepp getting pushed back. Funny thing is tho, it's usually when something major has happened, like DX9 and such. If it's gonna make the game better, I'm more than willing to wait.
good new for most players is taht gabe himself plays on a 9800pro 128mb, so anybody with a card that performs the same or better is pretty much guaranteed to be able to see the game in all it's visual splendor.
I've been waiting 6 years for Doom3 and halflife2, and so far i have not been disappointed. Doom3 is nothing but mowing down enemies, and creepy atmosphere....an some of the best damn graphics that i have ever seen in a game that you can go and pick up on the shelves. and no story-line. kinda miss the NIN music tho....

Don't go to any forums on the game and expect to find any truth...just keep steam online....and let it load away...cause the minute the game is released, you know it's going to be on every channel....i think that dream of having everyone worldwide, sitting in front of their pc's...all playing YOUR game og gabe's is pretty darn close....i pretty sure it isn't about money anymore.

I saw at a friend of mine HL2 some beta or leaked version few levels and it was a level by the edge of the sea and let me guys tell you that the look of the game was absolutely amazing. I will buy this game because it's a great game.

Er because you know someone who is leaking you the producers memos to the team?
Can you get any betting house to give you odds on the release dates?

BTW I meant 'hold onto your pants' as in 'nearly there, prepare yourself for imminent excitement overload'
