Salvaging can yield equipment upgrades and crafting material. To get improved armor a crafter (NPC) must be given the correct crafting materials and gold. T Rand E/R19

Basically it's bieng quoted as an MMORPG (I personally classify it as an online RPG) without subscription charges or anything. How it works is that everyone can meet and chat in certain "Hub" area's like cities, then venture off into their own personal versions of the world (Similar to Instances on WoW) It's quite a good game, but it lacks the depth of WoW, hence why I play WoW more.

Have you played NeverWinter Nights? GW is very much an RPG - i.e. adventure for cash and XP. Difference here: Towns are hubs on a world map (world regions have an effect here) where many people can meet and trade. Here you can socialise and form groups to go out adventuring - so is more socialable than NWN I would say. Quests take place in private copies of the map for each group. 3 weeks playing, ive found it irritating for spam content in hubs - especially private traders - but you can filter to an extent. Building a character up to a cap to Level 20 can be done quickly - but there are still loads of quests i need to do - so i still have interest. Depending on the time of day - youll get varied atmospheres - e.g relative to working and school hours - but i guess this would be the same for any online game. I guess the decider for myself as to whether its actually any good in terms of longevity or not is to see if im still playing when the add on is released in spring - but thats a personal thing.
