BF2 Patch v1.01 = memory leak

i dont know what a memory leak is... so if someone could tell me the symptoms of a memory leak so i know what look for. thx

Memory leaks are no big deal really. Let's say that a program normally takes up 100 MB of RAM, but you find it taking up 500. That means that there's a memory leak somewhere in that program. You should be able to reclaim that lost memory by restarting the program or, at the very worst, restarting your computer.

it leads to the program taking excessively long to exit on my machine, but that's about all. Memory leaks can seriously hamper performance if you have limited amounts of memory tho.

normal you will get a error that your pagefile i not big enough.
when you run out of memory windows use a pagefile. normal that is 1.5gb.
so when a memory leak the system run out of memory.
an reboot will clean the memory.

EA are recommending that you re0install the game without the patch as of yesterday. please be advised that you should uninstall the game, and then reinstall without the ptch...you will not loose any ranking.
