Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas RECALLED!!!

Yes, that's right, the ESRB has lad the smack down on Rockstar and changed the arting of the highly rated game from "Mature" to "Adults Only", due to a mod that was released on the internet, enabling the full content of the "dating missions" to be viewed(which contain graphic "sex games"), which, in all manners of the game, can easily be labelled as extreme, and definately not for a mass marketed game, IMHO.

I pulled this from the ESRB site:
Quote:
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Rockstar Games
PC,Playstation 2,Xbox

Adults Only (18+)

Blood and Gore,Intense Violence,Nudity, Strong Language,Strong Sexual Content,Use of Drugs
unreal, but all copies of the game on shelves should have been pulled by the time i post this, and anyone that owns a copy now has a collector's item. A Redone version of the game, with the sexual content excluded, will be released some time during the end of this year.

How daft!

I haven't seen this sex cartoon thing, but I doubt that it is anything new or worse than anything which can be easily downloaded from the net.

I guess the people who work for the ESRB have to justify their jobs somehow. I am no fan of censorship, BTW.

Why are they going to reclassify the game if all copies are to be withdrawn and a new version without the easter egg will be released? I don't follow the logic there.

the box says M, while the rating says AO. boxes must be relabelled and then can be restocked, if the retailers have the appropriate stickers. A new "M" rating version of the game will be released later this year.

This is pathedic and recalling all versions is even more ridiculous because the patch was released for the pc version and even if there is a possibility of getting it onto all different console versions it could of been built quite easily by the same people from scratch.

It's pathetic, if they are gonna ban games because it compells young men to go and commit acts of violence they should start with Americas Army, as that actually does influence boys to go kill.

GrahamGarside - I think the problem here though is GTA is such a mainstream high-selling game. I mean, what is Americas Army?

It's a fee game used as a recruitment tool for all those guys who pwn and think they'd kick ass in RL

It's not especially graphic, no more than BF or COD, but it does actual motivate lads towards a life of violence
