WOW - WINGS OF WAR The best if you like low speeds and maneuvrability! |
| ||||
what about harcore flying with good graphics?? |
| ||||
my favourite flight combat game at the moment is a game called crimson skies, its quite old, but its still really good, its a pulp fictionish (alternate history) game based during the depression where zepplins have become used as millitary and cargo shipping vehicles, that can also launch planes. the single player is quite corny though. however i still reccomend you atleast give it a go, because of its age its quite cheap now on ebay and such edit: what are you doing with a joystick for flight sims? a flight yoke works much better edit again: if you want a game set in a more modern era, i have heard good things about LOMAC (lock on: modern air combat)

Pacific fighters ( http://www.pacific-fighters.com/en/home.php?skin=S2 ) is the best WW-2 combat sim around. LOMAC is probably the best jet sim, but jet sims have a steep learning curve. If you can find a copy somewhere, Jane's WW-2 Fighters is still a fun game. It is easier than IL2/ Pacific Fighters. It is a good starter flight sim. Here is a screen shot of a third party overhaul of the Jane's P-51. http://www.shocking.com/~z29/Rammjager.jpg http://www.ww2fighters.org/ |

![]() I like the look of mother Earth, soooooooo realistic !!! ![]() |

I really like the Janes games for combat flight sims, they usually allow you to dial in the difficulty/realism pretty well. MS flight simulator is cool, but it gets a bit old just flying around

are there any free ones for online play |

Lomac had great potential, and once you tweak the game to run and get past the learning curve its great fun playing online, stalking a target for miles using ir tracking and then getting close enough to gun him down before he knows what hit him. But yeah, there are bugs and inaccuracies, and the learning curve is kinda steep. edit: heh, see my sig, needs my spec as min to run decently.
