It’s 8:12 PM 10/19/2005 and I just finished taking pics and recording some sequences from FEAR. This is definately not another game ! The installation was smooth and without incidents. I have tried several settings for my computer in order to get the best gaming experience. Here you have some pics that will give you an ideea of the way my system handled FEAR.

I must say that I had to make few ajustments in order to get what I wanted so you can play a little with the settings and then run a test which is right there for you in the settings menu.

I will list for you guys the minimum requirements now and you can see if it’s that upgrading time again…

So after finding a good quality/speed compromise I entered myself in a world that remainded me of the original Half Life. Every corner and every object, every human and every unknown origin are full of life and ready to unleash a creature, fall on your head, shoot you or just SCARE you ! When you thought you had that athmosphere into your blood another attack and another sound will make you jump. This game is nothing like Doom. Sierra and Monolith and the others behind this game worked much this time. I can compare this game with FAR CRY. Surely we did not expect FAR CRY as we were expecting HL2. But in the end FAR CRY was probably better and more entertaining

I had captured and compressed few moments within FEAR. I hope you all enjoy them because this movie is a must see if you really haven’t decided to go fo it ! In this movie you will see how enemy is ducking, jumping, leaning and shooting your a$$. You will also see how time shifting works here and I tell you this game has character ! Remember Max Payne? It had a feeling no other game had. Remember the voice of Max? That voice alone was worth hearing. Speacking about hearing some friend of mine was here when I was recording sequences from FEAR. He said „wow, how is it possible to sound that good?” So many different sounds tied toghether…bullets hitting the windows and metalic and wooden surfaces gave different noises and the shells hitting ground more noises and all the enemies shouting for one another or screaming @ you…

Now I just got Quake 4 and I'll give it a try to see if it's better than Doom3! Good Luck playin' FEAR or get your money from your pocket and buy this amazing game !

I just watched the video you made, that is absolutely amazing. I like the cut-scene with the 2 soldiers and the girl, that is freaky. That looks like the cry engine styling with the bodies, the don't just die and then that's it, the bounce and move where you shoot them! And as for you, you're one brain busting gamer!

Ok, lets cut to the most important bit.
What is the arsenal of weapons like?

Brutal. You can only carry 3 weapons at once. Dual pistols (you need to find two have dual pistols). MP5 subgun. Railgun energy weapon thingy. Shotgun. Assault rifle. This other gun that appears to shoot darts, but is absolutely lethal. And of course a rocket launcher.

don't forget the repeater cannon...does not make an appearance until later levels.

My 5 year old nephew plays all games on my PC. Im deleting the shortcut fo F.E.A.R. He is not playing it.

you'll see it...looks like bazzoka..but isn't...makes "ripples" in the air when it hits target. rocket launcher shoots 3 rockets.

From the video, it doesn't look as scary as i imagined but the effects in it make it stunning.

for it to actually be scary you have to start the game from the begining
