CrySis

Well, it's not FarCry 2, but it's called CrySis and is essentially the next edition to the FarCry franchise:

So what are everyone's thoughts on this one?

That preview does make an exciting read, I must say. I think I will have to get a whole new system to run it though - it sounds like it will be very cool, but very hardware intensive.

Having said that, the original Far Cry pushed the boundries at the time it was released, and it still looks damn good now.

I thought that the part two of far cry was ''Far Cry Instincts'' am I wrong?

Instincts was the console port.

Not quite. It's basically Farcry ported across to the XBox.

It's FarCry for Xbox but with more updates to the game engine.

The texture quality, draw distance etc. where just turned to absolute minum. Also the levels were made more linear to reduce load on the Xbox.

That's because Xbox is how old now, 5, 6 years? With even more technologies emerging (yes, new GPU technologies will be emerging soon i expect), i expect something pretty lifelike on our screens when CrySis hits it. Let's just hope it isn't a slideshow that we see. Since EA are licensing it, i expect they'll do everything they can to help (that only means that they have to put the 'advertise everything' motto at the beginning, and as my avatar correctly states, 'O RLY?').
